JVM Installation
1. Check if you have a Java Runtime Environment version 1.4 or higher installed, by opening a Shell or a DOS box and type 'java -version'. If you do not, download, and install a JRE from sun here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/
2. Put the jvc.jar file in your main planets directory
3a. To execute JVC in Linux type 'java -jar jvc.jar' in a Shell
3b. To execute JVC in Windows, doubleclick on the jvc.jar file, or type 'jvc.jar' in a Shell/DOS box in the main planets directory
MacIntosh:
For MacIntosh OS X, i have got the following procedure from Johannes H:
Copy jvc.jar into your planets directory. Open Terminal Switch to the jvc.jar/planets directory type java -jar jvc.jar
I do not know how to install JVC on original Mac's, but if you're Mac owner and you got it to work, please mail me the steps needed, so i can put them here for other Mac users.
Requirements:
In order to run JVC you should have a PC with minimum 64mb ram, 400mhz processor, and a display of 1024x768. But as always 'the bigger the better'
