JVC Status


These are features that i am not going to implement soon. I'll try to do the stuff listed in the bug base first. If you disagree, mail me and i will upgrade the status.


Nice to have features, low priority:
1. Show warn color when move >1ly and start+dest in same warpwell
2. Exception dialog/logging system
3. Show Exceptions in a dialog/log in a file
4. Encapsulate addin calls in try/catches (runtime+NPE's)
5. Store logfile
6. Localization (support for different language files)
7. Use JavaHelp as help system
8. (Option) Invert tag/untag left-right keys
9. Remember Tow id of cloaking tow ships, so tow cloak can be remembered (keep tow mission)

11. Set warp for ship when in distance mode, and 0..9 is pressed also 'C' for cloak
12. Zoom -> 1000
13. (addin) Tempmarkers: show all layed minefields this turn
14. "Reply" button in messageviewer (The message viewer needs redesign)
15. Draw part of travelled line as red, when travelling through minefield
16. ShipModels: Show total cost/leftovers/none
17. ShipModel list: assign priority for autobuild (up/down)
18. The ship build feature re-orders ship just built
19. When loading a new game, old panel data is shown until a marker is selected (should be cleared)
20. Hit enter in open space = select closest location
21. Log end location in mass checker
22. Sleep pointer when loading or saving game/gamedb
23. load/save progressbar in statusline
24. On 'tow ship' list - paint enemy ships in red, like in the location list
25. High res mode for 'ship equipment panel (n lines instead of 1)'
26. RGA warn when RGA own & happiness
27. HYP warn (fc, fuel, dist etc.)
28. Option to 'simulate' a ship from planet to planet, and find mid stop point, if silly player (assume silly player travels directly from planet A to planet B over more than one turn)
29. Best clans: show max tax to get w/o happiness loss, or no of clans to get max supplies from bovis if more
30. When cannot build, show a tooltip why (-23 T, -12D etc.)
31. >Ship movement feels tortuous without the right-click to get into movement mode and ctrl-click to pick a waypoint (thats the 'VPA' way I usually use)
32. 'load' on neutronic to load to generate fuel
33. max 75% tax?
34. Color on taxpanel if possible to get more money
35. Show happy raise next turn
36. Auto detect size, fit into view

64. External tool: compare resources in rst with corresponding trn
65. When mouse moves out of map, stop drawing distance
66. New markertype: When selecting a planet/location; show waypoints from ships to the planet/waypoint (ships that has dest at that planet)
67. Order base also on (scanned) unowned planets
68. On the scoreboard: Add a column where player can add notes of other players (e.g. names/nicks)
69. Resize images
70. ScoreBoard: Show missing rst's/no turn data in darker background (on graph)
